Kaiser NICU Project

For this project, we all created colorful milestone cards and bonding hearts for the NICU department at Kaiser Santa Clara. Milestone cards help parents of premature babies recognize and celebrate their baby's accomplishments. Later on, these cards can become cherished memories of their baby's journey in the NICU. Additionally, we bought soft, cotton fleece that was used to create bonding hearts. The parents and the baby wear the bonding hearts for a couple of hours before exchanging them. The exchanged hearts are used to familiarize a baby with their parents' unique scent. In total, we were able to provide 60 milestone cards and 150+ bonding hearts for the NICU.
